Why patients choose us

Doctor-led, locally.

There is no shortage of places to be injected in Bangor. What brings patients here is a doctor-led approach, with the time and clinical judgement that comes with it.

  • 1

A doctor, not a salon injector. Treatment in Bangor is on the same medical terms as Dollingstown: a full consultation, screening for contraindications, and a plan Dr Pam Rhead carries out herself.

  • 2

North Down without the commute. Patients in Bangor, Holywood, Groomsport, Donaghadee and Newtownards can be seen on High Street rather than driving across to County Armagh.

  • 3

Consultations that take their time. Twenty pounds for a proper appointment, deducted from your first treatment, with no expectation that you book anything on the day.

  • 4

Award-winning care. Winner of New Business of the Year (Aesthetics) at the NI Beauty Excellence Awards 2026, and a finalist in two further categories.

Getting here

Finding the clinic.

The Bangor location is The Skin Club NI at 54 High Street, in the middle of the town. High Street meets Main Street, Abbey Street and Dufferin Avenue at one end and runs down towards the seafront and the marina at the other. Coming in from Belfast or Holywood, follow the A2 and the signs for the town centre. By train, Bangor is the end of the line from Lanyon Place and Great Victoria Street, and the Bus and Rail Centre on Abbey Street is a few minutes’ walk from the door.

Parking. There is no on-site parking here, unlike the Dollingstown clinic, and the Queen’s Parade car park has gone with the seafront redevelopment. The closest council car parks are Bingham Lane (59 spaces) and Castle Street (85 spaces), both pay-and-display and a short walk away, with Abbey Street East (70 spaces) beside the station. Eisenhower Pier on Quay Street is free and holds 132 cars if you would rather walk up from the marina.

Near: Main Street, Bangor Marina, Bangor Bus and Rail Centre, Ward Park, Eisenhower Pier.

What an absolute delight Dr Rhead is! So gentle and thorough. Absolutely no pain whatsoever. I had botox on the forehead, crows feet and lip filler. Very happy!

Aga Baranowska

I had my lips done by Dr Rhead and couldn't be happier with the results. They turned out exactly as I had hoped, and the entire procedure was surprisingly comfortable and painless. She took the time to understand exactly what I wanted and delivered beautiful, natural-looking results.

FAQs for Bangor

Common questions.

Specific to patients travelling from Bangor. The full clinic FAQ is on the contact page.

Where exactly in Bangor are appointments held?

At The Skin Club NI, 54 High Street, Bangor, BT20 5AZ, in the centre of the town. The Skin Club NI is an established nurse-led aesthetics clinic, and Dr Rhead Aesthetics sees its North Down patients there. The clinic on Inn Road, Dollingstown remains the main base, and both addresses are listed on the contact page.

Which towns does the Bangor location cover?

Bangor itself across BT19 and BT20, plus Donaghadee, Groomsport, Crawfordsburn, Helen’s Bay, Holywood and Newtownards. Newtownards is roughly fifteen minutes away and Holywood around twenty, both far shorter than the run to County Armagh.

Is treatment in Bangor any different to the Dollingstown clinic?

The clinical standard does not change with the address: the same consultation, the same products, the same aftercare and the same person planning and performing your treatment. Appointment dates in Bangor are limited, so book ahead, and check when you book if there is a specific treatment you want.
