Signature Microneedling Treatments

Microneedling is a clinically proven skin rejuvenation treatment designed to improve skin
texture, tone, and overall skin quality.

How it Works

It works by creating controlled micro-injuries in the skin using a professional-grade microneedling device, stimulating the body’s natural wound-healing response. This triggers collagen and elastin production, leading to firmer, smoother, and more radiant skin over time.

To enhance results, microneedling can be combined with professional-grade active ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, exosomes, or injectable skin boosters (polynucleotides or NCTF 135HA), allowing targeted ingredients to penetrate deeply and work at a cellular level.

Indications

Microneedling is suitable for individuals looking to improve overall skin quality and address
concerns such as:

Fine lines and early wrinkles
Dull, dehydrated skin
Uneven skin tone and texture
Enlarged pores
Acne scarring
Loss of firmness or skin vitality

It is ideal for patients seeking a minimally invasive, regenerative treatment with natural-
looking results and minimal downtime.

Treatment Options

Microneedling can be tailored to your skin’s needs by combining it with one of the following professional-grade options. Each targets different skin concerns and levels of regeneration:

Options

  • Professional-Grade Hyaluronic Acid
Best suited for skin that is dehydrated, dull, or lacking plumpness. Hyaluronic acid attracts and retains moisture within the skin, leading to improved hydration, smoother texture, and enhanced radiance. This option is ideal for patients seeking an immediate skin glow and improved suppleness.

Skin boosters

  • Skin Boosters – Polynucleotides or NCTF 135HA
These injectable skin boosters are ideal for skin showing signs of ageing, loss of elasticity, or poor skin quality.
    • Polynucleotides support tissue repair, improve skin elasticity, and stimulate fibroblast activity, resulting in firmer, stronger, and more resilient skin.
    • NCTF 135HA delivers a potent combination of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, antioxidants, and hyaluronic acid to revitalise the skin, improve hydration, enhance luminosity, and support collagen production.

Exosomes

Particularly beneficial for ageing, compromised, or sensitised skin, as well as post-inflammatory or post-acne skin. Exosomes act as powerful cellular messengers, supporting skin repair, reducing inflammation, and enhancing collagen production. This option promotes overall skin regeneration, improved texture, and healthier, more resilient skin over time.

These options work at a deeper cellular level to improve long-term skin quality rather than providing just surface hydration.

The most appropriate option will be discussed prior to the treatment or during your consultation and skin assessment.

Procedure & Duration

The treatment begins with thorough cleansing of the skin, followed by microneedling using a medical-grade device. The selected active ingredient is applied during the procedure, allowing enhanced penetration into the skin.

Following microneedling, a Medik8 calming biocellulose mask is applied to soothe the skin, followed by a gentle massage using ice globes to reduce redness and inflammation.

The treatment takes approximately 45–60 minutes. Mild redness and sensitivity are common and typically settle within 24–48 hours.

A Medik8 aftercare kit is provided to support optimal healing and results at home.

Onset & Duration of Effects

This treatment can be performed as a one-off for skin refresh and glow. However, for optimal collagen stimulation and long-term improvement in skin quality, a course of three treatments, spaced four weeks apart, is recommended.

Skin texture and hydration often improve within days, with continued improvement over several weeks as collagen production increases. Maintenance treatments can be performed periodically to sustain results.

Contraindications & Cautions

Microneedling may not be suitable for individuals who are pregnant or breastfeeding, have active skin infections, inflammatory skin conditions, impaired wound healing, or certain medical conditions. It should also be avoided in areas of active acne or broken skin. Patients should disclose any medications or recent treatments, as some may increase sensitivity or bruising risk.
